KJ 9 years agoJust had a phone call from this number telling me that my computer would shut down very soon and that I needed help with my updates. I know this is rubbish as my husband works in a senior position in IT. But I worry for those that may fall into their trap of handing over personal information. I questioned the man and he failed to answer my questions, so I terminated the call. But they called me back and I knew it was the same man but he pretended that I had just spoken with his colleague and that he was the supervisor!!!! I managed to get an address of their \'headquarters\' ....94 Victoria Road, London.
I terminated the call again, the accent was Pakistani, although they claimed they were calling from America. HOAX SCAM BEWARE!

Andrew Cuer 9 years agohad same call from \"James Black\" windows help and support,said windows was infected & pc could crash at any time,& I would be responsible as i had been informed about it He took me through simple diagnostic of my pc,which showed some programmes were stopped.Then generated tech security code. He passed me onto supervisor \"Sam\" same phone No, he wanted to take control, at which point i terminated the call.(1)

mrs enid howatt 9 years agoPhoned me and said they were from microsoft trying to sell me in depth cover for my computer, I phoned the number they gave me to prove they were genuine, I was very dubious and called the number 4 times and all I heard was a noise which could have been a distant muffled voice to which I said \'Hello Hello and the phone was then switched off. They told me that my computer would shut down completely if a problem wasnt sorted and it could be at any time. The woman called \'Rose\' was very convincing and online it was a silent written chat line who, when I told them I believed they werent genuine told me to stop beaming? Rose told me their premises were in Victoria Street. London but their offices are in America. They need putting out of business.(0)

Fiona 10 years agoJust had a phone call from \'shelley\' who then put me onto her \'supervisor\' from \'online tech partner\' informing me that my computer was about to crash and that I would be held liable for the consequences etc. Very forceful and intimidating Indian/Pakistan ladies. What were they hoping to achieve? (-2)

Barry Spooner 10 years agoI had a call this morning from someone calling himself James. He claimed to be from Microsoft Windows Support and said my computer had been infected with a virus - I assume it\'s some kind of scam and will not be phoning him back on the number he gave quite willingly.(-2)
