Mrs D 8 years agoReceived a call this evening about 4.45 from a Asian sounding guy whose name was John. He said he was calling on behalf of Microsoft corporation and my computer licence was going to be cancelled immediately and I need to input a new licence number some 32 digits long a mixture of letters and numbers. I then asked him where he was calling from and he started to get agitated because I asked him twice to confirm the address that they gave which was in London. He was calling from the licensing department... how bizarre his attitude changed as he became insistent that I log onto my computer straight away... Big scam... (0)

J from Scotland 9 years agoHad a call about 7.00pm on 20/11/2015 from this no telling me that they were from AOL and that my computer had been hacked by some one from Nigeria! Insisted they were Aol and even had a senior manager ring me. They said they were based in Manchester but the above no does not have a Manchester std code! I rang Aol who said they never contact their clients by telephone! Come to think of it I believe it was the same lot who rang me a month ago about my licence expiring!!(-26)

Clive Wintle 9 years agoi justs Got a call from unknown number number told me that they are calling from Computer Liscencing Department, gave there complete details ,they Fixed my issues. Their services and assistance Was Good Because my Computer which was previously working very slow and every now and then it was shutting down automatically but everything is working fine and smooth and i had some problems before but they fixed my computer good......they were really a life saver... Mr. Alex you are Good Technician.(-1)

Roger Wilson 9 years agogot a call from unknown number number told me that they are calling from computer technical assistance gave there complete details they said they are offering malware network security at very cheap rates and they gave me full services and assistance once they were done my system which was previously working very slow and every now and then it was shutting down automatically but everything is working fine and smooth and i had some problems before but they fixed my computer good......they were really a life saver.....(0)

Finally I got fed up and told him to cancel the licence.Hung up on him, after getting his name of Craig Alex.(0)

JJ 9 years agoMy very elderly parents have just had a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft and stating that their computer had been hacked. A two hour phone call led to my mother being very very upset as the pushy foreign guy tried to get her to buy some computer insurance. Fortunately they didn\'t give any bank or card details but have really upset my mum.(0)

Brian 9 years agoSaid they were from Microsoft and someone was trying to hack into our computer. They said that they would cancel our license. After putting the phone down on them they rang back. We told them to do what they wanted and we would contact the police. As yet the computer is still running, time will tell.
