Anonym 9 years agoUst received a call from same as previous. Always aware of scams and as the number to call back was not premium rate thought I would call just to see what happens. WAnted my surname address etc. When I said I thought this was a scam I was told that I was a stupid *ucker.(2)

Tony 9 years agoWas asked to call this number by Reuben, who phoned me today from (0)0258900076 (believed to be a Mozambique number). Was told that I had been randomly selected for a Government Grant of £8000, for paying my bills and taxes, and for not engaging in criminal activity. Was told to contact his manager on the call back number 02032905985 and to give my activation Reference Number IK22305. Was asked my age, but not name, and was warned to use the grant only for legal purposes such as home improvements, etc. Was given 3 options for receiving the grant: 1. Bank Account 2. Plastic Card (Visa / MasterCard etc.) 3. Cash In Hand. I chose Option 3. Was told I would get further instructions on the call back number.This is the second call of this type I have received. Probably a premium rate number. I will not risk calling back. If anyone here wants to try it, please report back here with what happened.(2)

Anonym 9 years agoJust called me saying the British Government had an £8,000 grant for me, and that I must call 02032905985 to claim it. They gave me a reference number, but hung up when I asked them to tell me my name, so they knew they were speaking to the right person. Scam.(0)
