Anonym 9 years agoThey rang me, also demanding tax from a number of years ago. Threatening me with police action, etc. So I questioned them about who they were, where they were calling from, asking for as much detail as possible and they eventually hung up on me. Definitely not from HMRC, just a bunch of scammers.(1)

bunny 9 years agoFirst they leave computer recorded voice mail at your landline and if you call them back then actual game start and ask you we are calling from HM&C your name and random questions and start threatening you police is coming to arrest you, balif will seaiz your car anf property and sooner you will in jail and bla bla.......
If you ask reasons they will say last five years you didn't pay your tax and we are investigation department from HM&c.
story in short is I shut phone and call HM&c helpline no and thanks to lovely gentleman Giylan on other side from HM&C and check all notes and record and confirm me my tax return are upate you don't need to worry about and call at 101 to police and let them know .I call at101 and talk to police and they write comalint and pass these details to crime department.

Anonym 9 years agoSays they are calling from the inland revenue, asking for payment on taxes due, yet will not provide a name or any details regarding why it is owed and will not send a letter to confirm.
