Sarah Hall 8 years agoJust had a call from a company calling themselves 'Resort Management Direct' on 0141 280 8001, claiming that I was entitled to two bonus weeks with Diamond Resorts (my timeshare company) in recognition of all the management fees I had paid over the years, but that they were about to expire and I needed to pay £99 to 'bank' them indefinitely. They said I should have received a notification about this about three months ago and then quoted my previous address at me, to make me think it had been misdirected. When I asked that they e-mail me a copy of the notification, they said they couldn't and that I only had until 6.30pm to pay up or the offer would lapse.
I told them I wasn't parting with any money without something in writing to confirm all this up front and see from the Diamond members website that this is, indeed, a scam.
