A recorded message rang to say HMRC had filed a lawsuit against me and to press 1 to be put through to a ‘case worker’ Total scam! Feel sorry for anyone who has been caught out!

Just had the same spoof call in Edinburgh as everyone else has reported saying they are HMRC and we’re filing a lawsuit against us and giving a case officer number to phone. Gave my wife a hell of a fright. (She’s highly stressed as as her mother is dying !) Utter scam.... Utter bastards !

Had a phone call from this number with a pre-recorded message saying that they have been trying to get hold of me and that HMRC were filing a lawsuit against me. I was told to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Err, nope. Definitely spam.

Just had a call, It started of as pre-recorded voice say they were HMRC and have been trying to contact me. I hung up before the pre-recorded voice finished talking. Tried the number on my mobile , an answer machine with an American sounding voice.. Scam

This number rang us (in Suffolk) today pm. Very poor quality recorded message stating that HMRC had filed a lawsuit against me. Asked me to press 1 to speak to the 'case officer'. We feel so sorry for anyone who falls for this vile activity. So much for data protection!
