A Crichton 8 years agoCold called with plausible story that my subscription to call-barring needed renewing as I was still receiving nuisance calls. Asked for the credit card details on which I pay my telephone bill (the card starting with 4 with an expiry of 2017), then said that £50 would be taken from my account for a life-time service. However, all very suspicious as I pay by direct debit, so the number I gave was false. TPS is free and can be applied for on-line.(1)

Richard 9 years agoCalled a few minutes ago at about 18:35. Sound quality very poor and sounded as if he was out in the possibly Indian bush lands.
Wanted to try cold call to sell a call blocking service, said his name was Mark from \'Telephone Preference Management\', yea and I am called Pegasus and share transport with the flying Dutchman.(3)
