A.SHARR 5 years agoAs with above calls, I was called by Phillip Jones, same reason, my account with Amazon has suspicious activity, suddenly I was talking to a company, he said, was called IT SUPPORT and he could remove all, what he said, were hacker attempts and viruses. All he did was clear the event log. Then he pressed me to fill out a form to £540 for lifetime cover on my computers, I told him I didn't have that kind of money and he quickly offered 5 years cover for £360, that offer was then extended to lifetime cover for that lower amount. I HUNG UP!!(0)

Naz 5 years agoReceived a call from someone called Alan. Said he was calling to see if we'd ordered a phone on Amazon. He said he thought someone had set up a fake account. He said I should have received an email about this and asked me to check my emails. I asked where he was calling from and he said Cyber Security Limited. I asked what email address he'd sent it to. He said he didn't have the email address as it was sent from other unit. I took his number and said I'd call back. Think this is an attempted scam (0)

N Westwater 6 years agoA man with a foreign accent calling himself Bryan Stevens rang from 'the cyber crime unit' to say someone unauthorised tried to make a purchase on my amazon account and that the unit had sent me emails. I checked the email address - one letter out. I did not correct this, just said I was uncomfortable with the call. The caller was polite and hung up. I believe this was an attempted scam.
