Alex Day 5 years agoBe careful. family member gave them remote access, they showed the windows event viewer (every computer will show some sort of error here) then they scare you into paying for well overpriced protection, Norton, Kaspersky, Mcafee etc. when in reality it is worth very little. They will then fiddle around and possibly do other things and then run a catch file that appears to protect you from hackers when in reality it just deletes the event viewer. they will then charge an extortionate amount and call and harass using the same tactics to get you to part with more money. i dont know how they sleep at night conning people like this.
